Dr Cristina A. G. Kiminami holds a PhD from King's College London in the Department of Digital Humanities. Her Master's and Bachelor's degrees are from the University of São Paulo, Brazil, in Architecture and Urbanism, IAU USP. Currently is a Visiting Fellow in Data Visualisation for Urban Studies in the School of Design and Creative Arts at ľ¹ÏÊÓÆµ.

She was part of a research team and impact activities for ‘The Impact Hub’ (TIH), an interdisciplinary initiative that has established the TOWN Observatory (TO). One of her main roles at TO was mediating a participatory and cultural mapping practice with the Loughborough Library Local Studies Volunteer Group (LLLSVG). She has also worked as a visiting research fellow in the Department of Digital Humanities at King's College London, investigating how deep mapping can support spatial analysis and contribute to developing a comprehensive research and design strategy for urban areas by integrating geospatial technologies and participatory research methods
